SPOKEN PRODUCTION
Luckily I have a little more to say about this topic. I have some recordings from school lessons and even one presentation that I had with my schoolmate last year and I included one recorded cover... that is embarrassing since I sound like a coconut. :D
Presidential Election in the Czech Republic - presentation
2nd semester
This presentation was for one subject from last semester. My friend and I made this presentation before the Czech presidential election. We wanted our other schoolmates to know what kind of presidential candidates we had at that time. It was simple I talked about all the 9 candidates and my friend presented everything about the election in our country and what it might affect.
"Why We Sleep" - presentation
4th semester
This artifact is one of my latest productions. I have prepared a presentation about a book called "Why we sleep" written by Matthew Walker. As the name suggests it deals with the importance of sleep and why we should give it more importance
The recording of a short text during Phonetic lesson
3rd semester
Actually, this is one of the production I am not particularly proud of. I made this short recording during one of my Phonetic lessons and I didn't make the best performance. I made a lot of basic mistakes but at least I know what I can improve and can learn from my mistakes. Hopefully, I will improve my English in this particular case as it is one of my main goals for this semester.
Rise - Eddie Vedder - a cover song
4th semester
This is the kind of production I hate to share. But for the purposes of this so-called "portfolio", I committed to adding this recording. Well, just enjoy it, though I don't recommend listening to it. So feel free to listen at your own risk! :D
An Interview with a foreigner living in the Czech Republic (Julia)
This semester, I produced only one artifact for this section, which is an interview with my coworker and friend Julia about cultural shocks she encountered after she moved to the Czech republic. It was a task for one of my other subjects "Inquiries in Intercultural Communication". I do recommend listening to this, as it can help you to understand foreigners more.
The Anglo-Saxon layer of English word stock
6th semester
